How to cover freckles without looking cakey

opinion

So I have a face full of freckles and I haven't used a foundation yet that covers them up to my satisfaction, I was wondering if anyone has a recommendation? I am also wanting to get them removed and i was wondering if anyone has had experience with that? I think you'll find freckles are very 'in' at the moment so don't cover them up completely. I firstly start with Primer before applying Foundation. I really like the Burt's Bee BB cream.

I use this because I have old scars and redness that I cover up. I use BB creamthen apply foundationthen set with face powder and it works on my dark spots area. There are also lightnening serums eg Cliniques dark spot correctoror Palmers Even tone corrector which lightens my face after a few weeksbut always still use sunscreen during the day.

FRECKLES!! How to cover??

I hate them too and found that prevention is key - so yes to the sunscreen. I removed heaps of my freckles with TCA peels deep ones. Everyday though I use a good physical sunscreen which contains lots of white pigments and this helps to provide a good makeup base because lots of them are already covered by the sunscreen.

If you want high coverage foundations then something like Covergirl Outlast 3-in-1 foundation is ideal, really high coverage but still looks good and not cakey or fake. Good thing is you don't need powder with it as it sets and dries but still looks good.

I know your pain, freckles can be the worst.

I haven't tried any treatments to lighter mine other than slip, slop and slap when ever I go in the sun. I see it is now a "trend" to draw them on. Embrace it girl, I'm sure they look stunning on you: I use a bb cream before I apply my foundation and I find that it really helps cover freckles. I also put concealer over my larger and darker How to cover freckles without looking cakey In saying this though, I really don't think you need to cover them!

I have a full face of freckles. I'm sure it would work with whatever brand of foundation matches your skin, they are the only ones that match mine at Ulta. I have a lot of freckles too so I understand.
