Called several times and got an answering machine so in our travels we went to the Winton Place location at 4 PM to get tickets for the 7 PM show figuring the difference would be enough time to have dinner before the show.
The doors were locked and nobody was there. What a total waste of time. I do not have a very high opinion of this theatre after this bad experience. We are so Downstairs cabaret schedule you had a terrible Downstairs cabaret schedule We hope you give us another shot!
We hope to see you again soon! Always enjoy the atmosphere of the old style cabaret, nothing fancy but nostalgic and comfortable. Easy "Downstairs cabaret schedule" just around the corner. The performers in the show were excellent, all 4 with different styles of singing but did a great job at harmony. Even some laughter from one of the players who had the comedian role. The band was very good, and we enjoyed the music and the nostalgia it brought.
Would recommend the theater and the show to anyone.
Thank you so much for review! We love downstairs caberet and hope you give them a try. The Man in Black was phenomenal but all the shows are well worth the time and money. Bar and refreshement available and if you have dinner out before, save room for the cheesecake!!!
We have seen several productions at Downstairs Cabaret in the past few months and have yet to be disappointed. The quality of the productions is generally superb. They have several theater locations - I have yet to be to the Winton Road location, but the others are cozy and eclectic rooms.
Not much in the way of fancy theater decor but it's like having a show right in your own home. They sell snacks and beverages so it's a bit like dinner theater.
Favorite show to date has to be Nunsense, but our recent visit to the the Johnny Cash show was awesome. I plan to see the Bobby Darin show with the same performer next week. I love this theater.
