The years have taken their toll on my paperback copy of The History of Sexuality, so I thought I might as well invest in a hardcover copy with the usual acid-free paper and cloth binding. Alas, this hardcover edition is only hardcover.

If it was originally printed on acid-free paper, that paper must have contained lignin because the pages have yellowed. Less acceptable is that the binding is glued, not sewn, so I some of the pages may come loose, as they already are beginning to. So, until someone realizes that there Foucault the history of sexuality volume 1 an introduction be people who do want this work in genuine hardcover, that there may be a market for it, the regular trade paperback is the way to go.
