The basic definition of asexuality is a lack of sexual attraction. This can be quite difficult for some non-asexuals to grasp, and unfortunately it leads to a lot of misconceptions about what asexuality really is. A common mistake people make is referring "Asexual person is this hormonal" asexuality as simply not wanting or liking sex, but there is so much more to it than that. The main issue here is that a lot of people conflate the two terms. Asexuality is a matter of attractionwhile celibacy is a matter of behavior.
